There was a time when viewing census and other images on Ancestry.com was like playing a lottery. When searching for census records, I always crossed my fingers after I clicked “View this record,” hoping that I didn't get the MrSID viewer. In addition to its unsurpassed collection of records, Ancestry.com also has a collection of image viewers: MrSID, an html viewer, a viewer exclusive to the Family and Local Histories Collection, the advanced viewer, and so on.
